We start the excursion from the port of Rab at 9.30 a.m. and we sail through the Barbat channel. If you are coming to Rab, we will help you find a parking for the whole day. We can also pick you up in Barbat if your accommodation is there.

Our first destination is Zavratnica Bay, the hidden pearl of the Velebit Nature Park. Surrounded by 100 meters high karst cliffs and overlooking Velebit, it is adorned with crystal clear and cold sea. In the middle of the bay at a depth of several meters, you can see the wreck of a sunken German ship from World War II. There are 129 plant species in Zavratnica that together form a green oasis tucked into the mainland.

We shortly sail through the bay and have sightseeing from the ship (around fifteen minutes) before continuing.

The so-called egg beach, this bay is special because it is completely covered with pebbles that resemble eggs in shape and color. Apart from the beach itself, the sea in the bay is extremely clear and clean, so diving is a special pleasure. We have a swimming break here (30 minutes).

Having an interesting name, Goli otok (Barren Island) really looks “naked” because of the sparse vegetation and rocks. However, its beauty and attractiveness lie precisely in this white stone and nature. Barren Island, also known as the Croatian Alcatraz, was the site of a notorious political prison and delinquent educational center in the former state, with many remnants of buildings and a hall where you can see a documentary. If you are not interested in Goli otok from a historical point of view, you can take a small train through nature and swim in one of the bays.

After sightseeing and swimming, lunch on board homemade food and drinks (fish/meat/vegan menu). We are here for one hour and a half.

The islet of Grgur is different from Goli otok: dense pine forest and shade. It’s an ideal stop for rest, swimming, or refreshment in the cafe in the harbor. We are very often greeted by tame deer that you can feed in the woods. It is less known that Grgur was also a women’s penitentiary camp, but from those terrible years, only a few ruins remained merged with the environment. Just like Goli otok, Grgur is also uninhabited, you can only meet some sheep and beautiful fallow deer. You can swim and walk around for one hour.

In the afternoon, we are visiting some of the “cristal bays” in Suha Punta. The area of ​​Suha Punta on the Kalifront peninsula is considered one of the most beautiful parts of Rab. It is located in the northwestern part of the island and hides many sandy and rocky bays with a turquoise-emerald sea. You can swim and greet the last sun rays in one of the bays surrounded by pine trees and the songs of crickets.

We are sailing back to island Rab through the bay Eufemija ( the western part of Rab) which offers a unique picturesque view of the old town Rab, its four campanils, and city walls.

We return to the port of Rab at 6.30 p.m.
